Principle of 12.5X zoom lens:
The focal length of the entire objective lens is changed by changing the interval between the lens groups. When the lens is moved to change the focal length, it is always accompanied by the movement of the image plane, and this should be compensated for the movement of the image plane. The zoom lens is mechanically compensated, and the compensation curve is calculated according to the numerical relationship between the displacement of the zoom group and the compensation group, so as to design a cam mechanism to compensate for the movement of the image plane. By rotating the lens barrel with the cam curve groove, the goal of continuous zoom and constant image plane position is realized.
