In today's era of rapid industrial automation and intelligent manufacturing, enterprises pursue production efficiency and product quality with relentless determination. Traditional manual inspection and sorting methods, plagued by low efficiency, inconsistent standards, and high costs, have become bottlenecks hindering both capacity and quality improvements. Against this backdrop, an integrated automation system combining a Telecentric Measurement System with SCARA robotic arms has emerged. By seamlessly merging “vision” with “execution,” it equips production lines with tireless “eagle eyes” and “dexterous hands,” enabling fully automated operations from precise measurement to automated sorting.

How does the integrated system of a Telecentric Measurement System and SCARA robot work?
This highly integrated system operates with exceptional efficiency and precision, forming a seamless closed-loop process. Its core steps can be divided into three phases:
1. Precise Capture and Positioning:SCARA robots leverage their exceptional performance in high-speed motion and repeatable positioning accuracy to precisely pick up samples awaiting inspection from designated locations—such as conveyor belts or trays—and smoothly and accurately place them within the specific field of view of the Telecentric Measurement System.

2. High-Speed Measurement and Intelligent Decision-Making:Subsequently, the advanced online image measurement system activates instantly, capturing high-definition product images via high-resolution industrial cameras and performing real-time analysis using specialized image processing algorithms. Within milliseconds, the system completes rapid, non-contact measurements of product dimensions—such as length, diameter, and flatness—and immediately issues an intelligent pass/fail determination based on preset tolerance ranges.

3. Automatic Sorting and Categorization:Upon receiving the judgment signal, the control system immediately instructs the SCARA robot to execute another movement. Based on the results, it performs the sorting task, precisely placing qualified items into the corresponding OK bin and unqualified items into the NG bin. This completes the entire automated process of “inspection-judgment-sorting.”
