Telecentric Industrial Lens Model Interpretation

1. Object-square telecentric lens: The aperture diaphragm is placed on the image-square focal plane of the optical system. When the aperture diaphragm is placed on the image-square focal plane, even if the object distance changes, the image distance also changes, but the image height does not change, i.e. the size of the measured object does not change. 2. Image-square telecentric lens: The aperture diaphragm is placed on the focal plane of the object-square of the optical system. In the case of the object distance remains unchanged, the image distance and magnification will change with the change of the aperture diaphragm position, but the image height will not change. An image-square telecentric lens has advantages in terms of the relative illumination distribution of the image. This facilitates a more uniform image illumination distribution if the light is directed perpendicularly to the sensor.




3. Bilateral telecentric lenses: In bilateral telecentric lenses, the aperture diaphragm is placed on one side of the optical system, both in the object side focal plane or image side focal plane, can be achieved without changes in image height and magnification. Bilateral telecentric lenses combine the advantages of image-side telecentricity and object-side telecentricity. It combines the optical path design of the object-side telecentric and image-side telecentric, which ensures measurement accuracy and has the advantages of fixed imaging magnification and uniform illumination.
