The 360° inspection lens utilises a proprietary catadioptric optical design, eliminating the need for lens rotation or the stitching of images from multiple devices. It captures images of the top surface and all angles of an object in a single shot, thereby achieving truly comprehensive, blind-spot-free inspection and significantly enhancing the efficiency and completeness of visual inspection.

 

 

Traditional inspection lenses have significant limitations; standard lenses have a field of view of only 80°–160°. To fully inspect an object, it is often necessary to use multiple devices, take multiple images, and then stitch the images together using algorithms. Not only is this process cumbersome, but it is also prone to issues such as image gaps, inspection blind spots and stitching errors, making it difficult to meet high-precision inspection requirements.

 

 

The core breakthrough of the 360° inspection lens lies in its innovative catadioptric optical path system. The lens is equipped with high-precision, reflectively coated lenses. Through specialised optical path fitting technology, it alters the trajectory of light propagation to converge all scattered light from the object’s 360° circumferential outer surface onto the imaging sensor. At the same time, utilising coaxial focusing technology, it enables the simultaneous and precise imaging of light from both the top and sides of the object. Without the need to adjust the equipment’s position, a single exposure can present a complete, all-encompassing view of the object, thereby eliminating inspection blind spots at source.

 

 

This optical design is also suitable for inspecting a wide range of small, regular cylindrical and irregularly shaped components, offering exceptional compatibility with various equipment. Unlike traditional multi-camera inspection solutions, this lens employs an integrated imaging mode, eliminating the need for image stitching and effectively avoiding issues such as misalignment and image distortion. It delivers greater imaging stability and can accurately detect various defects, including minute flaws and dimensional deviations, meeting high-precision industrial inspection standards.

 

 

In terms of actual inspection performance, the advantages of the 360° inspection lens are particularly striking. In conventional multi-device inspection modes, a complete inspection of a single object takes approximately 0.8–1.2 seconds, whereas the 360° inspection lens can reduce the time required for a single imaging inspection to less than 0.2 seconds, improving inspection efficiency by over 70 per cent. With an optical lens reflectivity of over 99.2 per cent, image clarity is significantly enhanced, enabling the stable identification of minute defects as small as 0.01 mm. Furthermore, this lens is suitable for inspecting objects with diameters ranging from 7.5 mm to 110 mm, covering the vast majority of small precision workpiece inspection scenarios, with a fault tolerance and adaptability far exceeding that of traditional inspection equipment.
