In the manufacture of micro-components, even the slightest dimensional deviation can have a direct impact on the performance of the entire assembly. The uniformity of optical fibre diameter and the thread parameters of high-precision nuts all require inspection accuracy at the micrometre or even sub-micrometre level. The HM-1006 utilises a telecentric optical system, effectively eliminating the perspective distortion found in standard lenses and ensuring that images at the edges and centre of the field of view are equally clear and proportionally consistent. With a maximum measurement range covering a 6 mm diameter field of view, it is capable of fully capturing the contours of micro-components. The instrument is equipped with an advanced sub-pixel edge extraction algorithm that automatically identifies geometric features such as the outer diameter, inner diameter and spacing of optical fibres, cylinders and polygonal components, achieving repeatable measurement accuracy at the micrometre level and easily meeting stringent tolerance requirements.

 

 

 

Designed for high-speed production line cycles, the HM-1006 offers extremely fast measurement response times. The operator simply needs to place the product within the measurement area; with a single-button trigger or automatic sensor activation, the entire dimensional assessment is completed within milliseconds, with GO/NG results displayed in real time. The entire process requires no manual focusing or positioning, significantly reducing human error. The device supports data statistics and trend analysis; all measurement results can be tagged by batch and time and exported, providing a complete record for quality traceability.

 

 

 

When measuring the diameter of optical fibres, which typically have an outer diameter of only a few hundred micrometres, traditional contact-type gauges can easily scratch the surface or cause slight bending. The HM-1006 uses parallel backlighting to capture clear edges and precisely extract the contour in a non-contact manner. It can also continuously monitor fluctuations in outer diameter during the production process; should any measurement exceed the tolerance, an alarm signal is immediately issued, helping operators to adjust the wire-drawing process in a timely manner. For high-precision nuts, such as the micro-sized nuts used in mobile phone camera modules, where the outer diameter, opposite sides, minor diameter of the internal thread and concentricity all require control, the HM-1006 can perform multiple dimensional measurements simultaneously with a single image capture, offering several times the efficiency of traditional projectors or tool microscopes.
